Benedicta Saligumba Silverio, age 83 of Paris, passed away at 12:47 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute. She was a personal assistant and a care giver. She also was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Born April 29, 1932 in the Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Felimon and Gaudiosa (Saligumba) Silverio. Survivors include children; Yolanda Y. (Joe) Henson of Paris, Mamerto (Merlinda) Yungco of the Philippines, Susana (Victorino) Yungco Tuazon of the Philippines, Florida Yungco of the Philippines, and Erineo (Flora) Bautista of the Philippines, siblings; Eden Nipomoceno, Sulpicio Silverio, Pelino Silverio, Jose Silverio, Emilda Silverio, and Juana Silverio, all of the Philippines, twenty grandchildren including Harold, J.J., and Jennifer Henson, all of Paris, and Aiza and Ryan Alquetra of California, and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Luisa Yungco and a brother Regalado Silverio. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. David Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
