Barbara Ann Ross, age 79, of Chrisman, Illinois passed away at 5:02 A.M. on Monday, September 18, 2023 at her home.

Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Chrisman, Illinois.

Barb was born on July 2, 1944 in Paris, Illinois to Cleo and Dorothy (Sheets) Smitley. She married Ronald Ross on July 1, 1962 at Chrisman Christian Church. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2023.

Barb was a school bus driver for over 20 years. She attended the Metcalf Christian Church and was a member of the Red Hat Club. She enjoyed bowling and above all else, she loved watching her grandkids sporting events.

She is survived by her children:  Scott (Gwen) Ross, Mark (Tonya) Ross, Angela Redmon all of Chrisman, Illinois, her grandchildren: Markallen Ross, Amy Ross, Taylor Ross, Logan Ross, Dylan Ross, Nathan Ross, Lindsey Ross, Levi Potter, Shelby Simons, Kelsey Potter; and her 9 great grandchildren and 4 on the way.

Barb is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and her son-in-law Roger Redmon.

Memorials may be made to Edgar County Animal Shelter.
