Arlie Estell Cartright's Obituary

Arlie Estell Cartright, age 84 of Paris, passed away at 7:51 a.m. Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Horizon Health Emergency Room. Mr. Cartright was a welder for MECO and Midwest Truck Bodies. He also was pastor of the Trinity Pentecostal Church of God of Paris and was affiliated with the Pentecostal Church of God Organization. He was a United States Army veteran.

Born March 10, 1934 in Martinsville, Illinois, he was the son of the late Clen E. and Ethel Marie (Johnson) Cartright. He married Wilma Louise Stephens September 21, 1958 in Mattoon, Illinois and she survives. Other survivors include three sons; Benjamin Robert Cartright and his wife Patricia Stiegler-Cartright of Spring, Texas, John Peter Cartright and his wife Mary (Culver) Cartright of Denton, Texas, and Stephen Lee Cartright and his wife Robin (Bennett) Cartright of Paris, Illinois, eleven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son Paul William Cartright, one daughter Janice Lynette Wallace, three grandchildren; Carl Dean Wallace, Carlita Janelle Wallace, and Stephenie Denae Carlette Wallace, and two sisters Eleanor Beaudry and Earlene Tucker.

Visitation for Mr. Cartright will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery With Pastor Benjamin Cartright officiating. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post 211 and VFW Post 3601. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
