Anna Mae Stewart, age 88, of Garden Grove, California, formerly of Paris, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home in Paris, Illinois. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forsythe Cemetery.

Anna Mae was born on June 8, 1933 in Wabash Township in Clark County, Illinois. She is the daughter of the late Ernest Bradford and Lucy (Barth) Forsythe. She married Lee Roy Stewart, the love of her life on March 30, 1952. She and Roy enjoyed 68 years as husband and wife until Roy's passing on January 7, 2020. They were inseparable.

Anna Mae and Roy moved to California in 1952 when Roy was in the Navy. In 1966 they moved to their home in Garden Grove, California. She was employed at Standard Register CO. as an office manager for many years. Anna Mae was known for her pies, cobblers, and JELLO salad.

She is survived by her sister – in – law, Betty Forsythe, one nephew Brad and one niece Pam, as well as many other nieces and nephews on Roy's side of the family, and her dog Mr. Freddie.

Anne Mae is preceded in death by her brother Harold B. Forsythe, her loving husband Lee Roy, and her parents.
