Anke D. Nail, age 83, of Ridge Farm, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at her home surrounded by family.

No services are scheduled per her wishes. Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Anke was born on May 25, 1941 in Hamburg, Germany the daughter of Walter and Margarete Mathilde Eleonore (Muller) Kluver.

She married Mike Nail on October 5, 1962 in Germany. He survives.

Anke was a proud and hard worker. Spending 25 years as a laborer at Lauhoff Grain Company (Bungee) is a testament to that. When she wasn't working, Anke enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden, cooking some of her favorite German recipes for her family, and crocheting.

Anke is survived by her son: Gary (Peg) Nail of Chrisman; her grandchildren: Amy (Thad) Crispin of Chrisman, Ashley (Brandon) Prouse of Paris; her great grandchildren: Aubrey Crispin, Ian Crispin, Braxton Prouse, and Hadaly Prouse.
