Allen N. Hornbrook, age 77, of Paris, IL passed away at 9:18 a.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Services are 2 p.m. Monday, August 9, 2021 at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday August 8, 2021 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery.

He was born January 23, 1944 in Edgar County, Illinois, the son of the late Ray and Pearl Hornbrook. He married Sharon (Stone) Hornbrook on June 19, 1966, she survives.

Allen was a teacher for thirty-four years. He started his career at Jamaica High School where he taught for two years, he then spent thirty-two years as the AG teacher and FFA Sponsor at Paris High School. In retirement, he thoroughly enjoyed raising and showing sheep with his grandson. Allen loved spending time with his family and attending his two grandsons activities.

He was a long time and active member of the 1 ^st United Methodist Church in Paris, Prairie Lodge 77, ANSAR Temple in Springfield, Illinois, and the Edgar County Democrats Boosters.

Allen is survived by his children: Ray (Veronica) Hornbrook of Paris, Illinois, Amy Hornbrook of Paris, Illinois, Kevin (Dennis Smolej) Hornbrook of Nanaimo, British Columbia; his grandchildren: Elliott (Korianna Kluss-Klekamp) Kauffman of Belleville, Illinois, Vince Hornbrook of Paris, Illinois; his brother Albert (Betty) Hornbrook of Normal, Illinois, his sister-in-law Bettyle Hornbrook of Marshall, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews.

Allen is preceded in death by his daughter: Jodi Kay Hornbrook; and his brother: George Hornbrook.

Memorials may be made to either Paris FFA Alumni or Paris Young Farmers.
