Alice Ann Tracy, age 76 of Paris, passed away at 2:22 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in Paris Community Hospital. She was a homemaker, an avid seamstress, business owner, and volunteer. She was former co-owner of Floyd Hegg Motor Company. She loved for the girls to bring prom dresses and formals and also loved to sew for the high school plays. She loved to go to her grandchildren's activities. Alice Ann was known for her infectious laugh and good humor. She was a Paris High School Graduate, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar Society, and the Paris Park Board. Born August 4, 1939 in Terre Haute, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Mattingly) Heischmidt. She married Jack William Tracy April 19, 1958 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paris. He passed away February 15, 2003. Survivors include her children; Stephen Tracy and family of Robinson, Scott (Janet) Tracy of Paris, and Michelle (Tim) Gilles of Bloomington, Illinois, a sister Sharon Botkin of Lexington, Illinois, grandchildren; Justin Gilles of Champaign, Cody Gilles of Indianapolis, Amanda Tracy of Paris, and Stephanie Tracy of Paris, great granddaughter Jocelyn Tracy of Paris, step-grandson Colt Duke and family of Mt. Zion, and her special friend Bob Tague of Paris. Visitation for Alice Ann will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 28 in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Twin Lakes All Abilities Playground, making checks payable to City of Paris, TLAAP.
