Elizabeth Ann Cooper

Elizabeth Ann Cooper, age 74 of Chrisman, Illinois formerly of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 1:55 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 in Pleasant Meadows Christian Village, Chrisman, Illinois.  Mrs. Cooper was a 1955 graduate of Chrisman High School.  She was a clerical worker at the ASCS Office and the Edgar County Bank.  She also was a charter member of Eagles Auxiliary Aeries 4000, a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary 3601 in which she held offices of Secretary, Senior Vice President, Chaplin and Trustee, a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 108 in St. Bernice, Indiana.  She was a Paris Community Hospital Volunteer and was secretary of that organization for four years.

Mrs. Cooper was born July 28, 1937 in Chrisman, Illinois to the late Walter P. and Elizabeth Susan (Bailey) Osborn.  She married J.D. Cooper March 9, 1956 in Terre Haute, Indiana and he passed away August 1, 1992.

Survivors include her children; James Dean (Debbie) Cooper of Paris, Illinois, Walt (Janet) Cooper of Indianapolis, Indiana, Gregory A. (Debbie) Cooper of Springfield, Illinois, and Judy L. (Steven) Blair of Paris, Illinois, a brother Paul Osborn of Champaign, Illinois, a sister Jean Hayes of North Carolina, and three grandchildren; Andrew Blair of Paris, Illinois and Cassidy and Bailey Cooper of Springfield, Illinois.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband J.D., a significant other Tom Rollings, three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation for Mrs. Cooper will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home.

V.F.W. Auxiliary services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with Bro. Karl Marshall officiating.

Burial will follow in Edgar Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to E.C.C.F., Inc. D.O. It! Fund.
