Gary Lynn Keefer, Sr., age 70 of Metcalf, Illinois, passed away at 5:10 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 in Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana.  He was a Farm laborer and a United States Army veteran.

Mr. Keefer was born June 8, 1941 in Paris, Illinois to the late Wendell Conrad and Erlene Louise (Shonk) Keefer.

Survivors include his children Christina Keefer of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Gary Lynn Keefer, Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, two brothers Dennis Keefer of Marshall, Illinois and Jerry Keefer of Marshall, Illinois, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen, no services are planned at this time.

Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
