Patricia Ann Peters

Patricia Ann Peters, age 74 of Paris, Illinois, went to be with Jesus at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in Twin Lakes Rehab and Healthcare, Paris, Illinois.  She was bookkeeper for U.O. Colson & Company for over 25 years and for Paris Ford for 7 years.  Patricia was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Paris.

Born April 26, 1938 in Paris, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late James F. and Helen L. (Evard) Peters.

Survivors include one sister Nancy Garver of Paris, Illinois, her nieces Mel Young of Land O Lakes, Florida and Sherry Goodwin of Paris, Illinois, her nephews; Randy Peters of Rockville, Indiana, Jeff Garver of Cary, Illinois, Mike Garver of Paris, Illinois and Brady Garver of Paris, Illinois, great nieces; Cait and Kelly Young of Land O Lakes, Florida, Kristyn Smith of Westfield, Illinois, Neysa Jones of Marshall, Indiana, Kortney Dugo of Jonesburg, Illinois and Amy Simpson of Paris, Illinois, great nephews; Jeremy and Ryan Garver of Cary, Illinois, Jacob and Aaron Garver of Paris, Illinois, and Josh and Bryant Goodwin of Paris, Illinois, and several great-great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one brother Bill Peters.

Following cremation, a memorial visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in the First Baptist Church in Paris, Illinois.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in the church with Rev. Troy Warner officiating.

Private interment of the cremains will be in Edgar Cemetery at a later time.

Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christmas For Kids or the Children’s Ministry at the First United Methodist Church.
