James R. Caldwell, age 62 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 3:22 p.m. Sunday, January 1, 2012 in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois. He was a self-employed brick layer, a US Army veteran, and a member of American Legion Post 211 and VFW Post 3601.
Mr. Caldwell was born January 25, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to the late William and Dimple (Hoover) Caldwell.
Survivors include his sister Carol Givens of Paris, Illinois, his sister Patti (Robert) Miller of Martinsville, Illinois, his brother David Caldwell of Paris, Illinois, his sister Elaine Cline of Terre Haute, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a memorial visitation will be held from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2012 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home.
Graveside services for the cremains will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2012 in Franklin Cemetery.
Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post 211 and VFW Post 3601.
